How to Root Android O on Nexus 5X and 6P
As Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are the first devices to support the SuperSU ZIP on Android o. The rooting method of android O is currently under development and may be have some minor bugs. Due to android upgradation to the android O, some tweaks have been slightly changing which caused the some change in the way of rooting.
So, here we go to root Nexus 5X & Nexus 6P on android O. As we know Rooting your android smartphone gives you some more unique android tweaks, which are not found in the stock firmware. Here i am sharing with you how to root android o on nexus 5x and 6p.
thing to be required:
-Android O developer preview installed.
First, you have to install the newest .IMG file.
–Download TWRP recovery for the Nexus 5X (.img).
Now, follow these steps:
-You must have already unlocked your boot loader.
-Now put your phone into boot loader mode, thereafter plug it into your computer through a USB cable.
-Make sure you have installed ADB and Fastboot.
-Now transfer the twrp.img file to the platform-tools folder inside of your ADB installation directory.
-Now there, open a command prompt in the same directory, thereafter type fast boot flash recovery twrp.img and then hits enter.
-Now reboot your device and you are done.
Now download the SuperSU .zip from here:
-Download SuperSU (SR4 version) for Android O (.zip).
Now here we go!! Reboot into TWRP & flash SuperSU .zip file:
–Switch off your device.
– Now reboot into TWRP, by pressing and holding the volume down and power keys for five seconds.
-There, press the volume down button twice to highlight the “Recovery Mode” option, then tap the power button to select it.
-Now when the TWRP recovery boots up, than tap “Install,” and then navigate to the Download folder. Thereafter select the SuperSU .ZIP file.
-There, swipe to confirm the installation
-When the installation process finished than tap on Reboot System.
– Now your device will boot up. Sit back and relax (it might take a couple of minutes for the first boot with root).
-After the boot up you can see a SuperSU icon in your app drawer it means your device is rooted. Root android o is Done. Enjoy the power of having root in your Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P,Have fun!!
